Welcoming new staff to the team

Dr Laura Bardon joined us in April 2023 from the University College Dublin.

Her role will be to  influence the development of food policies which promote more sustainable diets in the UK whilst ensuring the nutritional status of the population is maintained and even improved, particularly amongst the most vulnerable groups in our society. Her work will highlight new foods where nutrition composition is needed.

Dr Pedro Cardenas-Canto joined the team in May 2023 from University of Leeds.

His role is to develop data science by extracting insights and knowledge from data and machine learning solutions to support our core data and tools for food and nutrition research in QIB and externally.

 

 

 Hannah Woolley joined us in September and will be covering the role of Project Support Assistant / PA.

Hannah will be providing adminstration and project support to the team. She will also support Paul Finglas and Dr Maria Traka as their PA.
