We are pleased to introduce Liangzi who joined us on the 1st October 2020 for 12 months maternity cover.
Liangzi has a background in dietetics, food science and nutrition. Her PhD project focused on improving the cost-efficiency of the dietary assessment method used in National Food Consumption Surveys, by simplifying current 24-hour recall and incorporating potential mHealth technologies.
Liangzi joins Food Databanks to work on the maintenance of the UK Composition of Foods dataset. She will work with partners from throughout the world to make sure the nutrient data is validated and standardised for use across multiple fields including dietetics, food technology, biomedical research and public health policy.
